The Tenggerese are either agriculturalists or nomadic herders comunities living in the isolated Tengger mountains within the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in East-Central Java. The agriculturalists generally live on the lower altitudes, while the nomads live on the higher altitudes, riding on small horses. Nowadays, these Tenggerese Horsemen takes tourists up the Bromo Craters. They start working around 4am and return back to their regular jobs after sunrise when most of the tourists leave.
