Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro (aka Square Coliseum) - financed and inspired by Mussolini. Planned from the architects Giovanni Guerrini, Ernesto Bruno the Padula and Mario Romano, constructed between 1938 and 1943. Colosseo Quadrato has 6 rows and 9 columns of arches, which is not accidental - Benito = 6 letters, Mussolini = 9 letters. Like many of the government buildings in E.U.R. district it was never used and lies empty to this date.
