I've had my 750 for 8 months now, so I thought it was time to pass on my thoughts. I've only given 4.0 for image quality but it surpasses, along with the newer 770, all the other x10 zooms. Some lower zoom cameras may beat it for image quality but it's better than many, and yet this cam has that great x10 as well. I haven't seen any non-SLR digicam images yet that I would rate as 5.0 yet, they all rate as 4.5 max to my eyes so far. There's a little purple or blue fringing on white sky/tree branches situations but again it's less or the same as other x10 cams but it's easily fixed in Paint Shop Pro 9, so it's of little concern to me. Saturated reds like red roses are tricky and best underexposed. I usually take all my shots with -0.3EV constantly dialled in anyway. The metering is very reliable but slight underexposure always makes for better dynamics.
The only time I've EVER had camera shake show up is at shutter speeds below 1/30s at up to medium zoom or 1/100s at full zoom, and outdoors in any sort of daylight as speeds are normally faster than this at ISO 100 it really isn't a problem not having stabilisation for me, it may be for others with less steady hands though. ISO 200 is quite usable and even ISO 400 is with noise reduction in PSP9 or Neat Image etc, so I do use these occasionally if I'm keen on keeping the shutter speed fast.
The manual focus is not good if used as intended as the EVF resolution isn't high enough, but if it's set to a guessed distance and the aperture is kept to F4 or smaller then it works fine (as long as you can judge distances approximately). The other way is to autofocus on something the same distance away and switch to manual with the OK button. No problem at all with practice.
The flash is very good for an internal one, and the 750 also works great with an old Nissin 360TW auto hot shoe flashgun I have, superbly well in fact. I've got a My Mode setup for wideangle hyperfocal manual settings to suit the Nissin for indoor shots where I don't even have to worry about focusing so it's fast and can even be used in the dark for perfect instant snaps.
2100mAH batteries last ages, I've got 4 sets but 2 would be plenty.
The 750 feels like a nice tough little camera made to last, even the plastic door hinges have a metal pin for reliability.
Problems
The usual slow auto focus in low light, but it can be worked around. The only low light shots I am ever likely to take are indoors, and I just use the internal or preferably my external flash in bounce mode. I don't like the way zooming can seem to get the cam 'confused' for a couple of seconds sometimes, again a low light phenomena.
