Тази рецепта я писах на едни колеги, щото си облизаха пръстите от мусаката, дето им я направих.
Пускам я готова за копване, ако искате да я принтвате за вашите колеги :)))
BULGARIAN MOUSSAKA
INGREDIENTS:
· 500 g minced meat (pork & beef)
· 1.0 - 1.5 kg potatoes
· 450 - 500 g frozen vegetables
mixed: peas, sliced carrots,
cut french beans, aubergine in small cubs...
or any frozen mixture :)))
· 2 eggs
· 3-4 spoons of flour
· 200 ml milk
· 100 g Bulgarian brined cheese ( Italian village cheese, FETA,
Maltese white cheese in sea water (gbejna) or something similar)
PREPARATION:
· 1. Put the frozen vegetables in the saucepan, pour enough water and add some salt and oil. Boil on the electric ring (power: 9-12) while the vegetables become soft.
· 2. Meanwhile put the minced meat in frying pan with some drops of oil and 2-3 pinches of salt. Fry until its colour becomes brown and it begins to stick to the bottom of the pan.
· 3. Peel the potatoes and cut them in small cubes or in slices.
· 4. Mix the eggs, the milk, the flour and the cheese until the mixture becomes smooth. If there are some small lumps of cheese - don't worry.
Choose large baking dish, spread its bottom with oil (or spray with oil spray) and arrange the layers: 1 - potatoes; 2 - vegetables; 3 - potatoes; 4 - minced meet; 5 - potatoes. In the end pour the mixture of eggs, cheese, flour and milk. It will fill the blank places between all small pieces of potatoes, vegetables and meat. Make sure that the top layer is fully covered with the mixture.
Put the dish in the oven and bake in 220oC about 60 - 75 minutes while the potatoes become soft.
NOTES:
· Don't add more salt - there is enough (with the boiled vegetables, with the fried minced meat and with the cheese).
· If you want, you can add more cheese, milk or another egg.
· It is possible (it depend of the depth of the dish), add 6th layer of boiled spinach.
· You can cook the minced meat or the vegetables with a cube "Knorr".
· Under the every layer of potatoes you can dust with black pepper.
