How to get into Windows CE mode
1. Create a text file called YFGo2CE.bld. The file's contents can be anything but must be at least 1 byte. (Alternatively you can download it HERE)
2. Copy the YFGo2CE.bld file to the root directory of the SD card
3. Power off (not sleep) the GPS, then switch it back on
The GPS will come back up in Windows CE mode. In this mode the Power button only puts the GPS to sleep, it doesn't completely power off.
If this method doesn't work for you and you are not using the original 2GB SD card that came with the GPS, try again using the original SD card. Users have reported that this does not work on some SDHC cards.
While in Windows CE don't set a password using the control panel or you will not be able to get into the device (no keyboard to enter the password). If you have already done this you need to use this procedure to factory-reset the registry.
There are lots of other things you can do in Windows CE that will probably brick the device too so be careful.
Remove or rename the YFGo2CE.bld file and press the Reset button (the hole above the SD card slot) to get the main menu back.
You can add an item for Windows CE to the tools menu by editing the menu to add an item for \windows\explorer.exe, for example:
