Just like the earlier versions, v3.5 offers image enhancement through precise, intelligent correction of several of the major defects affecting images from modern digital camera/lens combinations. Without any input from the user, it can make radical improvements to the optical defects of geometric distortion and lateral chromatic aberration, vignetting, and lens softness, as well as white balance and exposure, and image processing defects associated with demosaicing and raw conversion.
With a minimum of user input, to mitigate shortcomings in the EXIF data from some camera/body combinations, the corrections in these circumstances can be made with as great a precision as usual.
